PUB bills going up...

I noticed that this month my electricity and water usage is lower than last month
But My bills has increased!!!
Did the tariff increase? -
since when did they need to seek consent?

Well, as a democratic nation , as long as the majority have no objection, that is an acceptance of whatever policy or price hikes.
i really worried that apatheticism , if really a big issue, would prove the frog-in-sauna theory.

Is it coz the bill was based on an estimation of your usage?
They do that sometimes and then adjust in the following month -

Both power and water usage had gone down this month, but last month bill was $90+, this month bill $100.
I recall there was an increase in July, then there was a package to "help" ... but as always, the "help" is as good as none. -
electricity is higher...my this month home bill 129...wth....

Any electrical engineer out there ?
It seems that all HDB and private homes are supplied with an average power supply of only 20 Amps on a Single Phase - which is simply too low to run all the electrical appliances at one time, especially in the evening.
With such low ampere delivered to our homes, which actually consume close to the limit or more, the electric meter will fly.
Some commercial and industrial premises have applied for higher amperes, after which will see that their electrical bill actually fall - but then, they had to pay a hefty sum to bring in an additonal high voltage 3-Phase cable to bring in the addtional amperes.
It seems that it is all a big set up, and the winner is always the provider. -
i think u prolly mean each power point.... u r mistaken. read up ur electrical manuals again.....
i dunno y companies will want extra cables for themselves. but within the company itself, they usually have their own power regulators to stabilise the power like a buffer, 4 phase, 8 phase power regulator, to prevent their sensitive machines frm getting spoilt. -

Anyway, if you look at your breaker box you will notice that the main incoming to your house is a single pole 63A MCCB, which is then further divided into sub circuits such as your power points, aircons and lightings.
Maybe the 20A breaker that you are referring, is a dedicated breaker for your aircon, which in most cases is more then sufficient.. -

PUB bill goes up when there is increase in fuel, when the price of fuel falls, the PUB bill remains or still goes up. Damn unfair !!!! Money money money is what matters to the mercenary gahmen of Singapore.

The print showing ''63A MCCB'' is the designed operating limits of the MCCB, and the actual supply into HDB and private homes remain limited to only 20A - (some private homes have only 30A).
All HDB shops are supplied with 30A as standard. -

Try not to rush your reading, and read again what I have written concerning the application for additional 3-Phase supply before you ask embarrasing question that backfires on yourself ?
