i think their party appointments already considered full-time job liao, then where they get money to fund their families and the party?
like Chaim See Tong, Low Thia Khang all these....from what i know, they don't have any jobs other than their appointments in their parties?
also, i doubt they make money from The Hammer and CSJ's newspapers etc., cos' obviously not enough to pay the members of the party their salaries.
plus, the printing / distribution costs already so much liao. -

Actually CSJ no need to worry about $$$. Besides selling his books, every now and then he go on overseas speaking tours slamming the gahment. He got sponsored for doing that by some NGOs. I believe oso some foreign NGOs are donating $$$ to him to fight the draconian gahment, but cannot say openly lah, in case gahment send the IRS goons to whack him on income tax.

Given that its the People's money that is used to pay the Opposition,
I would recommend that same there be a common salary scale for Opposition and incumbent MPs and all their members. same rank same pay.
Public funded. no biase.
like this, I am sure, because people work for money,
there will be more to join political parties.
