At the current meter rate of $2.80 - $3.20, most normal cabbies are earning peanuts. The cabby does not owe them anything. Pax taking normal cab should unload their own luggage.
Helping with luggage is considered a limousine cabby's duty. Normal cabby job is to deliver pax from point A to B, let pax unload their belongings, collect fare and fuck off to the next flag down.
For normal cabby, if u see an old man and will not help with their luggage, then do not pick them up. Pick up old people no choice must help them.

$150 tips sure have lah, but I believe it is not just for a simple transfer job. If I tell you how much my overseas pax tip me you wouldn't believe it, but I serve him over three days hor. -

1st - Japanese Pax, 3hrs disposal, 50pts p/h. Reached AP. paid 300 pts. Really surprised. He still ask me "enough" - can i say... no ?
(maybe Yen is always a big number.... hence Sg $ abit "small" for them).2nd - Indonesian Pax, 4hrs disposal ending AP. $45pts p/h. give me a small envelope (Ang Pow - so big
). Didn't see inside amt until reached home base. if I knew it earlier, I could have..... "Carry the Pax to the Check in Counter" (quoted by Komade) .All the above happens within 1 day of job.

last sun queue in CP terminal 1 kena one ang mo to V hotel thought ho sei liao 3 large luggage weighing at least 20kg each all by myself .....load in cp reach destination paid by credit card faint........ wait for bellboy no bellboy in sight lan lan unload the 3 luggages as ang mo stand and look at me.... v hotel no bell boy to help unload luggage one knn...phui phui phui

Japanese Pax... if you got Japanese songs CDs or MP3... play it... high chance you will get something...
I got Japanese, Korean CDs in my car. It really helps...
