may be Sg really sinking.
Build so many highrise with imported sand and cement will add to the weight of Singapore, that's why it's sinking.
There were heavier rains last 10-15 years ago, but there wasn't any problems of flooding. Flooding only started with the circle line.

One in 50 yrs so many places got flooded.
normally when high tide... sea water flows into the drains & river...
plus in the excess of rain water... the drains & rivers eventually gets overflows.
the PUB will have to monitor the situations closing and predict (forecast) the next possible heavy downpour and do necessary precautions.
they can't blame flash floods all the time... i believe they can do much better....
first excuse "once in 50 years"
second excuse "rubbish chokage"
i wonder what's the next excuse?

Censored like those horror movies we see in the cinema... Just one black patch screen with noise background behind....

Anyway, its quite sad to see police arresting reporters at work, just doing their job and bringing news to the frontline and to the general public. =X
Got time then arrest those illegal workers & murderers please.

SPF lock up gov political opponent is also for their own good. Make them safe from opponent political assasin..
I can only say for no reason an event has been escalated from a simple reporter photographing e scene to something tat could end up ugly and by then ppl really get into trouble.
I believe e police officer felt he's entering a possible danger zone (probably flood has caused ppl unable to see the Bt Timah canal fencing). But the way the handcuffing was made dun seem right.
Handcuffed means singled out. Unless you are a criminal who has committed an offence, the police should not have handcuffed a journalist from the press who is on duty to capture pictures for curious people. Is the use of handcuffed an overpower used instead of using stern verbal warning.
The human dignity is fragile that by being single out as a bad guy notably that he did not committed any offences at all with all the crowd watches on is a violation of human rights. The rights of the press to report news and snapping photos is not overboard that warrant a set of handcuff. I hope the SPF may look into this matter on their use of legitimate equiments on people.
Well, at least they didn't send the SOC.
this controversial going to knock a few notches down on press freedom.
