Barcelona are continuing their pursuit of Manchester City star Robinho.
El Mundo Deportivo says Barca coach Pep Guardiola is determined to bring Robinho to the Nou Camp - possibly as early as January.
Robinho is excited about Barca's interest and would love to play in the same team as Lionel Messi.
While Barca president Joan Laporta faces an election next year, even if he loses the Brazilian will be pursued as nearest rival Sandro Rosell is close to Robinho through their association with Nike.

I mean they let go of Eto'o because they did not want him to leave on a free transfer and they did not want to pay him his high wages any more.

Barcelona are ready to setup a sensational swap deal for Manchester City pair Vincent Kompany and Robinho.
The Sunday Mirror says City have made it clear both are in Mark Hughes’s plans. Robinho and Kompany will be available for selection in the next week following injury lay-offs.
But Barca are aware the City boss is a big fan of midfielder Yaya Toure – brother of Blues defender Kolo – and defender Carles Puyol.
Puyol almost joined City in August, only for the deal to go cold when Hughes landed Joleon Lescott from Everton for £24m.
Barca’s captain continues to stall on a new contract offer and is likely to be sold in the next transfer window.
Toure has featured on Hughes’s hit-list in the past.

Robinho is an ill discplined brat.for all his potential and promises, he still has not won european or world footballer of the year yet. for his talent, he should be among the top players in the world, but he is not, due to his partying ways and ill discipline. I hope he does not follow the route of ronaldino, who lost his way after winning the CL with barcelona in 2006.
