Kyrgyzstan - Anyone heard of this country?

Kyrgyzstan
I only heard of this country for the first time when I read up CNA. Goggled about it. Not much information. Do they even allow tourists? Seems like a nice place to go backpacking.

Not in the near future unless you backpacking itenary ends with 6 foot underground in Krygyzstan.

They do allow tourists, A riot started in Osh, Kyrgyzstan just last week.

Kyrgyzstan , Kazahstan , Turkmenkistan , Paskistan , are all muslims .
Except Pakistan , the other 3 were from the former USSR .
After USSR brokeaway , this 3 Muslim states went independant .
Their people were like a bit of chinese , mongolian , russians mixtures .
Ang Mor not like ang mor , chinese not like chinese , looked a bit like Turkish , a bit like Nepalese .
If i am not wrong about their history .

usually Muslim countries there used the name , end with 'stan' , Pakistan , Afhangistan , Turmenkistan , Uzbeskistan , Krygstan , etc stan .......
Non Muslim country dun used 'stan' , if u realized that .

Funny things is , they were from former USSR , which is Europe .
But once they brokeaway , those Muslims countries became under Asia Continent .
That is why u see Uzbeksitan , Turmenkistan , playing in Asian Cup .
But the Kazak remains in Europe .
Dunno why so confusing ?

The costumes look nice and unique.
Kyrgyz people have some relation with Mongols, and therefore they are relatively close to East Asians.
In Central Asian region, only Kyrgyz and Kazakhs are tilting towards Mongolian side (Mongoloid people), while the others such as Uzbeks, Tajik, Turkmen, are more towards Turkish side.
Kyrgyz territory used to be part of China. One of the major mountain there is called Tian Shan mountain, and is still called Tian Shan mountain.
